Houston convention center, arts venues cease contracts with Aramark

The George R. Brown Convention Center, along with a trio of other theaters, are going with a new vendor after ending their contracts with Philadelphia-based food service giant Aramark Corp.

Chicago-based Levy Restaurants, which provides food services for BBVA Compass Stadium, won the contract bid for the venues and are expected to take over Oct. 1, according to an emailed statement from theater and convention center operator Houston First Corp.
