Houston-based Sysco Corp. (NYSE: SYY) announced July 17 that Bill DeLaney will hand the CEO role over to Tom Bené on Jan. 1.
Bené currently serves as president and COO, and he’ll retain the president title. He also will join the company’s board of directors on Jan. 1.
DeLaney will serve as an adviser to Bené through Dec. 31, 2018. He joined Sysco in 1987 and became CEO in 2009.
