Tree ordinances under fire, property tax reform, school choice — and yes, a new version of Texas’ “bathroom bill.”

Lawmakers began filing bills this week for the upcoming special session of the Legislature, set to begin July 18.

A total of 83 bills and resolutions were filed by the evening of July 10, according to the Austin American-Statesman. The Texas Tribune also has a rundown of what is at stake.
