Amazon.com Inc. has quietly rolled out an in-house service to help customers install and troubleshoot smart-home gadgets, and it could be coming to Houston.
The new service is designed to help Amazon customers connect smart-home systems like heating and lighting to Amazon’s Alexa voice assistant. Amazon is charging $99 for these types of installations and $9.99 to set up Fire TV services, while 45-minute consultations are currently free.
