Lone Star to develop bachelor’s degrees in nursing, other programs thanks to new bill

Lone Star College System plans to offer bachelor’s degrees in nursing and other programs now that Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has signed Senate Bill 2118.

The bill allows the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board to authorize certain public junior colleges to offer baccalaureate degree programs in applied science, applied technology and nursing. Abbott signed it into law on June 12.
