Astrodome bill dies in Texas House, eliminating hurdle for parking project

A multimillion-dollar Astrodome project likely has one fewer obstacle in its path to moving forward.

The bill that would require a public vote on plans to repurpose the Astrodome died in the Texas Legislature this session, the Houston Chronicle reports. The Senate approved the bill in late March, but it then sat in the House County Affairs Committee until the end of the regular session on May 29, per the Chronicle.
