Exxon ordered to pay nearly $20M for Clean Air Act violations in Baytown

A U.S. District Judge in Houston ordered Irving, Texas-based Exxon Mobil Corp. (NYSE: XOM) to pay more than $19.95 million in civil penalties related to the Clean Air Act.

Judge David Hittner issued the ruling April 26, according to court documents. Environment Texas Citizen Lobby Inc. and the Sierra Club filed the case against Exxon Mobil, ExxonMobil Chemical Co. and ExxonMobil Refining and Supply Co. in December 2010.
