United CEO Oscar Munoz is no longer expected to become chairman of the airline’s parent company next year as planned.

The announcement, made in an April 21 filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, comes after Chicago-based United (NYSE: UAL) has faced a public-relations nightmare over the violent removal of passenger David Dao from United Express flight 3411 on April 9.
