BP well leaks in Alaska; Hilcorp’s leaking gas line clamped

BP Exploration Alaska Inc. employees discovered a leaking well on April 14, but the cause has yet to be identified.

The leak occurred in the Greater Prudhoe Bay area about 5 miles from the Deadhorse Airport, according to the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation’s Division of Spill Prevention and Response.
