Catholic Health Initiatives’ Texas division eliminated 620 positions across its three systems in the Lone Star State, according to a March 30 announcement.
That 620-position reduction is less than 4 percent of CHI’s Texas workforce. It includes 459 layoffs and 161 vacant positions across CHI Texas’ 17 hospitals, its employed physician network, its freestanding emergency centers and other assets.
